Criminal incident prevented/ 38-year-old arrested, accomplice sought

The Vau i Dejës police have prevented a criminal incident and as a result have arrested a 38-year-old man.

EB was arrested, and during a search of his vehicle, a remote-controlled mine connected to a cellular device for remote detonation was found.

The Vau i Dejës police seized the mine found along with mobile phones, a mask and the arrested person's vehicle. A 34-year-old man, suspected of being an accomplice of the arrested person, was also declared wanted.

The police operation codenamed "Remote" is finalized.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after being caught transporting a remote-controlled mine connected to a mobile device for remote detonation.

A 34-year-old man is wanted, suspected of being an accomplice of the 38-year-old.

A remote-controlled mine, a vehicle, a mask and two mobile phones were seized as material evidence.

The services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector of the Shkodra Police Department, based on information obtained operationally that a citizen was transporting a remote-controlled mine, immediately organized the intervention, preventing a possible criminal event.

Around the early hours of the morning, in the village of Stajkë, the vehicle in which the suspect was traveling was stopped for inspection. During the inspection, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, a remote-controlled mine, connected to a mobile device for remote detonation. The vehicle, a mask and two mobile phones were also seized.

At the end of the first procedural actions, citizen EB, 38 years old, resident of Spitalë, Durrës, was arrested.

Also, citizen EP, 34 years old, resident of Durrës, was declared wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in this case.

Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, investigative actions continue to clarify and fully document the case, determine the destination and purpose of transporting the mine, as well as identify and apprehend other persons who may be involved.
