UEFA officials hold meeting with licensing criteria experts at the Albanian

The Football Federation welcomed to the "House of Football" UEFA representatives, Ales Zavrl, Director of Club Licensing, and Madinà Shukoor, Club Licensing Coordinator, who held a meeting with licensing criteria experts at the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) on the club licensing process.

During the meeting, the full functioning of the national licensing system was discussed, including regulations, licensing processes and monitoring of clubs participating in domestic and European competitions.

The AFF administration was represented by Aldi Topçiu, Administrative Director, Eduard Gjini, Licensing Manager, as well as experts on licensing criteria.

At the heart of the agenda were UEFA standards, sporting and technical criteria, social and environmental aspects, financial sustainability, the solidarity scheme, the licensing of women's football and developments in the football management system.

During the visit, Aleš Zavrl also made official the news that the 2026 Regional Club Licensing Workshop will take place in Tirana on February 24 and 25, bringing together the region's federations and UEFA representatives to address standards and challenges in the field of licensing and financial sustainability.

The meeting strengthens the cooperation between the Albanian Football Association and UEFA and emphasizes the joint commitment to increasing transparency, professionalism and the development of Albanian football according to international best practices.
