Works nearing completion, AFF investment takes shape

The Albanian Football Federation's investment in cooperation with the Kruja Municipality for the reconstruction of the old sports field in the city of Kruja is taking shape. The drainage system and the field's foundation have been successfully completed, while work on laying the artificial turf will begin soon.

The Albanian Football Federation conducted an inspection of the works on site. Pamela Ndocaj, specialist of the Projects Department, was present together with Yllka Sheta Kukalaj, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Krujë, where they were closely acquainted with the progress of the project and gave a short statement to fshf.org.

The Albanian Football Association is co-financing this project with the Municipality of Kruja and Pamela Ndocaj said that this investment is of particular importance as it restores the sports identity of the city's old field.

"As with any other investment in sports infrastructure, this one in the city of Kruja carries a special importance for several reasons, but above all for the fact that finally the old field of the city of Kruja is regaining its identity. And why not, this joint investment between the Albanian Football Association and the Municipality of Kruja will be the beginning of other collaborations to improve the sports infrastructure in this city," said Pamela Ndocaj.

The Deputy Mayor of Krujë Municipality, Yllka Sheta Kukalaj, emphasized that thanks to the cooperation with the Albanian Football Association, the field will be restored to function, serving not only sports, but also the revitalization of community life and the activities of children who want to follow football.

"Today we are here to share good news. We are in the field of nostalgia, in the field where it used to be played, while it has long been left to the mercy of fate. Now, with a fruitful collaboration with the Albanian Football Federation, it is returning to life, it will become a training field for the Kastrioti team that has not even held training sessions in its city for many years. This is an investment that serves not only sport, but also the revitalization of community life in Krujë, it also serves children who want to continue playing football and the team that will start training when it ends here", - said Yllka Sheta Kukalaj, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality of Krujë.
