The seven matches valid for the fifth round in the Champions League produced surprises in the results.

Chelsea triumphed 3-0 over Barcelona in London. Kunde's own goal in the first half and goals from Estevao and Delap in the second half gave the English side the victory.

Juventus triumphed 2-3 over Bodo/Glimt in Norway, in a match with a dramatic ending.

The locals ended the first half with a minimal advantage, while in the second the Italians overturned the result with goals from Openda and McKennie.

In the 87th minute, Bodo/Glimt equalized, but Juve did not give up and scored the winning goal in the 91st minute with David, to take the victory.

Leverkusen pulled off a surprise, defeating Manchester City 2-0.
