Qualifiers/ Faroe Islands towards the World Cup, Netherlands scores a goal

The four valid matches for the World Cup qualifiers in Europe have been concluded.

The Netherlands won convincingly 4-0 against Finland, moving significantly closer to qualification and leading Group G with 16 points. Poland is second with 10 points, while the six-point difference puts the Netherlands in a comfortable position.

In Group L, the Faroe Islands continued their good form with a 2-1 victory over the Czech Republic, who were direct rivals for the top spot. With this result, they are ranked third with 12 points, one less than the Czech Republic. The group leadership is held by Croatia, which has one more match to play.

In Group C, Scotland beat Belarus 2-1 to take the lead. Cyprus achieved a comprehensive 4-0 victory over San Marino.
