Loan agreement with the US/ Balla: Historic, strengthens Albania's defense capacities

The Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, commented today on the approval of the Direct Loan Agreement with the USA.

Speaking to journalists in front of the Parliament, Balla described it as a historic agreement, as he emphasized, it will serve to strengthen the country's defense capacities, also based on the requirements as a NATO member country.

"I do not hesitate to call it historic because of the security certificate. I can tell you that it is an agreement that strengthens capacities. The security of Albanians is more important. The Parliament voted on it today and today, the agreement has entered into force. I strongly believe that disbursement will begin at the beginning of September. It will serve to strengthen Albania's defense capacities, in the conditions of a NATO member country in the part that belongs to it and to meet the needs that the country and the alliance have in a part of defense", said Balla. /CNA
