Pogradec, electrician loses his life

According to preliminary information, a person in his 60s lost his life as a result of contact with electric current.

The incident occurred a few minutes ago in the village of Zërvaskë, Pogradec, where it is suspected that the 60-year-old man with the initials AB was repairing a faulty electrical line, and unfortunately lost his life.

The investigation team is at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances.

According to information and residents outside the cameras, the deceased electrician had identified the defect yesterday and had come today to replace the bulb. However, there were 2 voltage lines on the pole, of which he had turned off only one, leaving the other active, with which he came into contact and lost his life.

He remained lifeless on the pole for several minutes until the services were able to remove the lifeless body, which was connected to safety equipment. For years, AB worked as an electrician in the municipality of Pogradec and was responsible for maintaining the street lighting network in the villages./ CNA
