Tafili-Gjuzi clash/ AMP seizes officer's weapon

The Police Supervision Agency has seized the service weapon of Officer Leonard Xhamollari, as part of the investigation into the incident that occurred in Shkallnur, which involved the SPAK's most wanted, Denis Tafili, and Edison Gjuzi.

The action was taken after a shell casing was found at the scene, which led to the police officer's weapon being subjected to ballistics expertise to verify whether it was used during the conflict.

The officer denied any involvement in the use of the weapon, stating to investigators that he was near the scene by chance and that he has no connection to Denis Tafili. According to him, he was in a barbershop when the collision occurred.

Preliminary investigations show that the conflict occurred in a bar in the Shkallnuri area, where Denis Tafili is suspected of hitting Edison Gjuzi with the butt of a pistol. After the incident, Tafili, who is wanted by SPAK in the framework of Operation "Ura", left the scene together with Gentian Meta.

Meanwhile, AMP is investigating not only the circumstances of the involvement of Officer Leonard Xhamollari, but also the way in which State Police structures reacted after being notified of the incident.
