Serious accident with concrete mixer on the highway / Details of the incident revealed

New details have emerged regarding the accident that occurred this Wednesday on the Tirana-Elbasan highway, where a concrete mixer fell from a height and collided with a vehicle.

According to Tirana Police, the concrete mixer broke through the roundabout's protective metal barriers and fell to the lower level of the TEG-Elbasan road axis, in the direction of Elbasan.

As a result, one of the people traveling in the concrete mixer died at the scene, while the other person was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

The two people who were in the concrete mixer are still unidentified and work is underway to determine whether the person who died at the scene was the truck driver or the person who is in the hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, citizen RN, about 28 years old, has been taken to hospital and is out of danger.

Police services and an investigation team are at the scene, working to fully clarify the circumstances and cause of the accident. /CNA
