Shooting in Elbasan / Police provide details about the incident

New details are being learned regarding the incident that occurred this evening in a neighborhood in the city of Elbasan, where gunshots were fired, resulting in injuries.

According to data from the Elbasan Police, the shooting took place on the veranda of a bar, where a still unidentified citizen fired a firearm, a pistol, at three citizens: AT, 32 years old, RM, 31 years old, and BH, 19 years old, who were injured, but their lives were not in danger.

At the time of the incident, an off-duty police officer was inside the bar, and as soon as he heard the shots, he immediately came out and started chasing the perpetrator.

During the pursuit, the perpetrator dropped the firearm and was able to flee deep into the neighborhood. Numerous police forces have surrounded the area in a wide perimeter and intensive checks are continuing to locate and capture him.

Meanwhile, the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is continuing its actions at the scene to fully clarify the circumstances, as well as to seize any evidence that will serve the investigation to identify and capture the perpetrator. /CNA
