VIEWS/ Accident in Tirana, the moment when the concrete mixer falls from a height

Footage emerges from the serious accident that occurred this Wednesday in Tirana.

It is about the moment when a concrete mixer falls from a height, detaching from the overpass and seemingly ending up under the Tirana-Elbasan highway bridge.

As can be seen from the footage provided by security cameras, the heavy-duty vehicle was moving at a very high speed, which made it impossible to brake when it approached the curb.

Two foreign citizens who were in the concrete mixer lost their lives in the serious accident.

The victims are two foreign nationals from Egypt:

ML, around 30 years old, the truck driver, who died at the scene;

M. A, about 44 years old, the passenger, who died in hospital, despite medical assistance.

Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle, RN, 28, was injured and is in hospital with a non-life-threatening condition. /CNA
