Këlliçi condemns Jet Bank: Money laundering, impact on domestic

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi denounced today in the plenary session the situation with Jet Bank, which, as he points out, was opened by decision from the Bank of Albania under irregularities and lack of transparency.

In his speech in the Assembly, Këlliçi stated that such a development will directly affect the membership process, as it is related to several chapters already open for the country, also implying money laundering activities.

"Albania has become a key place for money laundering. We are at the point where today you are passing the first digital bank, and even there the Bank of Albania is not responding. We are at the stage where we will have opened chapters 1, 2 and those of the internal market. This digital bank that you have passed and remember. Jet Bank will be the reason that the negotiations will be postponed. Remember and this is where we will be", said Këlliçi ./CNA
