Exclusive/ Rama, changes in the government

Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to make several changes to his government, moves that come after the latest changes that were made on February 14 of this year and after more than 50 days of protests.

Sources for CNA  indicate that the prime minister is expected to make some moves, not only forced by the protests, but also because of some ministers who seem to be totally non-existent in their performance in the context of integration and the pace that the Albanian government seeks to achieve the objectives of EU membership by 2030.

It's not just about the longest-serving or shortest-serving ministers.

With these changes, this would be the "Rama X Government", as the prime minister has made changes almost every year from 2013 to date, sometimes partial and sometimes complete, in the pre-election periods, attempting to fire up the engines for the campaign and attempting to keep the governing force in action after the elections.

There are several "Rama Governments" coming on the eve of the elections, while we remember that Albania will hold local elections next year, no later than 9 months, and as sources report to CNA, government changes are set.

These changes have been signaled by the head of government day after day in the positions he has taken regarding the protests. Rama himself has to some extent accepted some of the reasons and issues raised by the protesters, but not abuses such as the frauds with the sale and forgiveness of Albanian land or with investments from Israel.

Rama, in his occasional appearances, has praised the protests, especially those of the first few days, while noting that some of the ministers and political structures of the Socialist Party were more than asleep.

With the citizens' protest, the Socialist Party was almost non-existent as for days they did not understand where everything was coming from, not to mention the political uncertainty and the positions held by its exponents.

It went so far that many government officials were both in favor of the protest and in favor of the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, without going further to their family members or close people who were present at the protest, or even friends, as Rama considers them.

The protests, the cold political reaction from SP officials and the EU tasks have made Prime Minister Rama think about changes in the government, sources told CNA. These changes in the government are expected to take place tomorrow, when the Prime Minister will convene the Parliamentary Group and the government cabinet at the Brigades Palace.

This is not the first meeting of this kind, but it is expected that there will be some strong movements tomorrow. The movements become even more expected and more credible, according to sources for CNA, because yesterday the Assembly announced another plenary session, specifically on July 30, while today's session was expected to be the last of this parliamentary session.

The Assembly announced the additional session and it is reported that MPs have been asked not to leave the capital, which further strengthens the fact that there will be moves in the government by Prime Minister Edi Rama, which could be taken to the Presidency at the weekend, decreed by President Bajram Begaj at the beginning of next week and then a plenary session with the new cabinet changes will be held. /CNA
