Democratic Party MP, Saimir Korreshi, shared today some unsaid things regarding the election process in the DP National Council, in which he ran for the position of Secretary General.

In a television appearance, Korreshi said that he positively received the proposal for candidacy made to him by the Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, who, as he said, called him about an hour and a half before the race.

Korreshi also shared details from the process of reformatting the party's structures, while emphasizing that new elements have been added to the DP.

"I received the proposal to run positively. The DP leader himself, Mr. Sali Berisha, called me, I was only informed about the candidacy an hour and a half before, like many others. I appreciate Mr. Berisha's call, even though I feel good as an MP, with the work and the duty I do, even though this is a plus for me. The secretariats have been reformatted in 90% of cases, many good elements have been elected, I have respect for them. The National Council or structures were also formed, people see that there are new elements in the DP. I wish that the people elected in these reformatted structures have a positive progress and good performance in the future", said Korreshi. /CNA
