The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, today focused on the Czech MEP's statement that Prime Minister Edi Rama uses family members to transport money abroad.

Speaking to journalists from the DP headquarters, Berisha said that Rama has made 140 flights in two years by private plane.

The leader of the Democrat Party emphasized that the DP was not satisfied with this statement, but has submitted a request for a parliamentary investigative committee regarding this issue.

"Edi Rama's 140 flights in two years with an aircraft at his disposal have raised legitimate suspicions throughout Europe.

I wish and hope that the media will not censor this bombshell statement by a true authority in the European Parliament, so I ask the press office to send it to all media outlets without exception in the hope that they will refrain from censoring a piece of news that every honest Albanian is interested in, regardless of party affiliation.

The DP did not stop there. The DP has submitted a request for a parliamentary investigative commission on this issue, as a fundamental issue, and Edi Rama has categorically rejected the commission.

"There is shocking data. There is data that proves the transportation of money," Berisha said./CNA
