OBP tender 1.2 million euros for fuel supply to state institutions

The Centralized Purchasing Operator recently opened a tender with a limit fund of around 1.19 million euros excluding VAT for the supply of fuel to several public institutions, according to the procedure documents. The total value of the contract is 111.7 million lekë and the tender has been divided into two lots.

The first lot, for the supply of 10 ppm diesel, has a limit fund of 91.7 million lekë, or about 979,700 euros excluding VAT. It includes the requests of eight institutions, including the Guard of the Republic, the Albanian Road Authority, the Criminal Decision Execution Agency and the Tirana Local Health Care Unit.

The supply will be carried out mainly through electronic cards at the winning operator's gas stations. For the Pogradec Customs Branch, the documents also foresee supply by autobot at the Qafë Thana Customs warehouse.

The second lot has a limit fund of about 20 million lek, or approximately 213,800 euros excluding VAT. The beneficiaries are the Republic Guard, the Southern Region Directorate of Gjirokastër, the Agricultural Technology Transfer Center of Vlora, the Criminal Decision Execution Agency and the General Directorate of Bailiffs. Also in this lot, fuel will be purchased through electronic cards at the network of stations of the winning company.

The contract will be implemented according to the needs of the beneficiary institutions and the conditions set out in the tender documents.

The Centralized Purchasing Operator has been operating since March 2024 as an entity that carries out procedures on behalf of various institutions that are worth over 1 million lek excluding VAT. For these procedures and consultancy, the OBP receives a certain amount of income as part of the service it provides.

Mainly, the tenders that go through the OBP are the purchase of vehicles, the purchase of fuel, the purchase of office supplies, furniture and furnishing equipment, cleaning materials, uniforms and their elements, the purchase of shoes, spare parts, but without limitation for others. /Monitor
