Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi said today that the main problem in Albania is convincing officials not to abuse the law.
While commenting on recent developments in the country, Krasniqi said in the "A2 CNN" studio that the country is also receiving criticism from internationals for corrupt officials and those who refuse to face justice.
According to him, this is not a position that comes from just one party, but from the political elite, regardless of years in power.
"The main problem we will have will not be to convince citizens to respect the law. The main problem is to convince officials not to abuse the law and the constitution that we have approved to respect. Because the main criticism made of Albania in international reports is not that citizens sell on the street, but that our officials are corrupt and refuse to face justice and this is not about a party, it is about a political elite regardless of age, regardless of behavior, regardless of years in power", said Krasniqi./CNA
