It's been a few days since the bust of Zai Fundo was unveiled in Korça. Right next to his former home. Right on the beautiful pedestrian street. With a view of the Morava. Like a gaze into the distance.

Not only the work of Adi Dula, which is true art, but Zai's biography adorns the square that now bears his name. It is also like a civic repentance against the official oblivion, denial and slander against him. Korça seems more fulfilled, warmer since it took its son into its bosom.

And since that day, the scoundrels began to spit out spittle, manifestations of fictions that lived for decades. Like Enver's volunteers, they gave life to slander. The poor people do not know that Zai is the first Albanian Europeanist, they do not know that he fought among the cream of the European left, they do not know that he was an anti-fascist in conviction and in war, they do not know that he was exiled as such in the islands of Italy, they do not know that the figure of this colossus made Enver himself jealous, who, without shaking his hand at all, wrote: "To be killed without trial."

And so over the years, Albanians were fed with lies, slander and demagoguery. But the truth, like a flower, grows even on a rock.
Now the son of the city sleeps in his Korça. Honored by almost everyone. Rumored by monsters who still don't remember to remove the names from the city streets: "The Berat Meeting", "The Përmet Congress", "The Labinot Conference" ...
Nostalgic people still slumber in the city. Who know nothing about the greatness of Zai Fundo.
