In a month, the DP membership will vote to elect its chairman. These days, the news is; the chairmanship has set the criteria for those who will run and the exclusion from the race of some people who did not meet the conditions. On top of these, comments are being made by many people who insist that Berisha be removed, not re-elected, that is, not re-elected.

It has happened to me that among these commentators I come across democrats who meet the criteria to run for office themselves. Because they have been in the DP for years, because they are public figures, because the whole of Albania knows them. And I am surprised. I am surprised that these people instead of standing in front of Berisha, voting with him, are crying on social networks. Berisha should go, they say, Berisha should not be voted for, they cry.

These days, charged with competition fever, remind me of Vaçe Zela many years ago. They were weeks of preparations for a song festival. Rehearsals were at their peak, in their fiery heat. When the soloists were assigned songs, the second phase began. The understudy would be selected. Those who would sing the same song on the second night. At one point, when the television director asked:
-Hey, who will understudy Vaçe Zela, -almost all the singers shouted loudly:
-Me, me, me!

The well-wishers who were there laughed. In fact, they laughed at the willingness of those who would rival Vaçe Zela. But Kondakçiu, as I recall, spoke a little indignantly:
-Oh people, I am not Vaçe Zela and it is known that I cannot become Vaçe Zela. But tomorrow I will brag to everyone, I was in competition with the great artist. We competed together. That is enough for the audience to love and respect me more.

So in the May elections. Anyone, as long as they meet the criteria, can enter the competition. Against Berisha. It is known that he will lose, but it is also known that he will win. That the Democrats will see in him the leader of tomorrow. They will rely on him, since he gave the proof. He competed against the historical leader and marked on his CV a value that will inspire the members of the DP.
Berisha will go to the polls to be reconfirmed. Many others will go to be confirmed. Competitions are not won by crying. Not even by shouting, let this one go because I want to come.
