Theft in 4 apartments in Himara/ 3 citizens arrested in flagrante delicto,

3 citizens have been identified and arrested, who are suspected of having stolen significant amounts of money and valuables from 4 apartments in the villages of Himara over the last 2 months.

Found and seized in the apartment of one of the arrested: 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 3 silencers, combat ammunition and items suspected of being used to commit thefts.

An 18-year-old woman is being prosecuted for failing to report a crime.

The investigative structures of the Himara Police Commissariat, as a result of in-depth investigations and intensive field operations, with a focus on monitoring the movement of citizens suspected of crimes against property and wealth and for illegal possession of weapons, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Break in".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were identified and arrested in flagrante delicto:

-EG, 31 years old, resident of Saranda;

-DR, 39 years old, resident of Saranda;

-KH, 37 years old, resident of Finiq.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, have committed several thefts in the territory of the Himara municipality, specifically:

-on 15.08.2025, it is suspected that they stole 250,000 lek, from the apartment of citizen NL, in the village of Pilur;

-on 27.08.2025, it is suspected that they stole 1,300,000 lek, from the apartment of citizen AB, in the village of Piqeras;

-on 19.09.2025, it is suspected that they stole 200,000 lekë, from the apartment of citizen QM, in the village of Borsh;

-on 20.09.2025, it is suspected that various work tools were stolen from the apartment of citizen GN, in the village of Borsh.

Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizen MM, 18 years old, residing in Saranda, as it is suspected that she had knowledge of this criminal activity, but did not report it.

During the search of the apartment of one of the perpetrators, citizen EG, the following were found and seized as material evidence: 1 Kalashnikov firearm, with silencer, 2 other silencers, 2 pistol grips and 1 Kalashnikov grip, with cartridges, 68 cartridges, 4 mobile phones and clothing suspected of being used during the thefts. 1 vehicle suspected of being used during the thefts was also seized.

Investigative work continues to document other thefts that these citizens may have committed.

The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for the criminal offenses of "Theft", committed in collaboration, "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", and "Failure to report a crime". /CNA
