Illegal weapons and ammunition found/50-year-old man arrested

Saranda Police have finalized Operation "Dishat", within the framework of which a case of illegal possession of weapons was cracked down on.

A 50-year-old man was arrested by the police, who during a search of his apartment found an automatic firearm and a magazine with 15 rounds.

Konispol, Saranda/The police operation codenamed "Dishat" is successfully finalized by the services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, a case of illegal possession of weapons is dealt with.

A 50-year-old man was arrested red-handed for hiding an automatic firearm in his apartment.

1 automatic firearm and 1 magazine with 15 rounds were seized.

In continuation of the continuous work to identify and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, with the aim of preventing criminal events that could occur from their use, the services of the Saranda Police Commissariat, specifically those of the Konispol Police Station, based on information obtained through operational channels, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Dishat".

As a result of this operation, the following citizen was arrested in flagrante delicto:

• HL, 50 years old, resident of Dishat village, Konispol.

During the search of his apartment, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, 1 automatic firearm and 1 magazine with 15 rounds.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action.
