Apartment adapted for prostitution/ 3 Chinese women arrested in Durrës

Durrës police have cracked down on a case of prostitution.

As a result, 3 Chinese citizens were arrested, who had rented an apartment and adapted it for prostitution.

Five people, accused of the criminal offense of "Prostitution", were also prosecuted at large.

DVP Durrës/Operations to crack down on criminal prostitution activity continue.

The police operation codenamed "Space" is being finalized after 3 weeks of investigations using proactive methods. 

Three Chinese nationals were arrested after they rented an apartment in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, and adapted it to practice prostitution.  

5 citizens are being prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Prostitution".

As a result of investigations conducted by the Trafficking Investigation Section, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for a period of three weeks, for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adaptation of premises for prostitution", the police operation codenamed "Space" was finalized in cooperation with the Special Operations Force. 

As part of this operation, the following Chinese citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offenses of "Prostitution" and "Adapting premises for prostitution": 

-MY, 41 years old, JB, 43 years old and LH, 47 years old.

-Also, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office where proceedings were initiated in the absence of the criminal offense "Prostitution", for citizens A. Gj., O. Ll., VN, AK and AG.  

The investigations conducted revealed that the 3 Chinese nationals had rented an apartment in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, Durrës, and had adapted it for the practice of prostitution.

During the search of the apartment premises, the following were found and seized as material evidence: 3 passports of Chinese citizens, a sum of money suspected of being obtained from prostitution, 8 mobile phones and 11 bank cards from the Republic of China and the United Arab Emirates.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Durrës . / CNA
