Poker tables in bars / 4 in handcuffs in Tirana, 1 in proceedings

Four people have been arrested and criminal proceedings have been initiated against another, after they were caught in cases of illegal gambling activities in premises in the capital.

The arrested citizens are: NP, 58 years old, A. K, 42 years old, LP, 52 years old and E. K, 22 years old, while the proceedings have been initiated for citizen MQ.

During the action, poker tables, cell phones, and sums of money were seized by the Tirana Police.

Announcement:

The services of Police Stations No. 3 and No. 6, based on information obtained operationally, within the framework of the operation "Gambling", for the organization of gambling in premises made available for this illegal activity, have continued the checks and have discovered 2 such premises.

Following the procedural actions, the following citizens were arrested:

-NP, 58 years old, A. K, 42 years old and LP, 52 years old, as well as citizen MQ, were criminally prosecuted, after they were found playing the game "Poker" in the premises of the bar owned by citizen NP on "Gjergj Legisi" street, Tirana;

-E. K, 22 years old, after applications suspected of being used for gambling were found on his mobile phone during a search of his bar in Vaqarr.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action./ CNA
