They had adapted the apartments for prostitution/ Two arrested

Tirana Police have cracked down on two cases of prostitution. As a result, two citizens, of Chinese and Vietnamese nationality, who had adapted rented apartments to practice prostitution, were arrested.

A citizen, a beneficiary of this activity, was also criminally prosecuted.

Following the investigative actions, 3 mobile phones and a sum of money were seized.

Tirana/The Tirana Police are finalizing 2 more phases of operations codenamed "Network" and "Foleja", against the practice of prostitution.

Two citizens (Vietnamese and Chinese) were arrested who had rented, for this purpose, apartments on Durrës Street and on "Mine Peza" Street.

Criminal proceedings are being initiated against 1 citizen, a beneficiary of this activity.

A large amount of money and 3 cell phones were seized.

As a result of the controls and operational work, carried out with the aim of identifying and cracking down on cases of renting apartments in various areas of the capital, to practice prostitution, specialists from the Trafficking Investigation Section and the services of Police Commissariat No. 3 finalized the coded operations:

-“Network”, during which the Vietnamese citizen, P. Th., 33 years old, was arrested, as it is suspected that on “Mine Peza” street, she had rented an apartment, for daily rent, to practice prostitution;

-“Nest 7”, during which the Chinese citizen, Y. W, 43 years old, was arrested, after being suspected of practicing prostitution, in a rented apartment, on Durrës Street. Following the procedural actions in this case, proceedings were initiated in a free state for a citizen, beneficiary of this illegal activity.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
