"That criminal should rot in prison, he doesn't deserve freedom"/

The mother of one of the minors who lost her life in the tragic accident of May 3 in Durrës spoke out for the first time this evening. In a statement for the show "Now me Erla Mëhillin", she said that the boy was hit by a vehicle as soon as he left his house.

In a state of emotional turmoil, the mother called for the maximum sentence for the perpetrator of the serious accident. She said he should be sentenced to life imprisonment.

"When the incident happened, we had just come from church. After eating bread, he told me to go out and get some ice cream. He told me not to be late for 5 minutes because he was going out with his friends. As soon as I entered, I heard the children screaming. I ran out because I felt it, I saw that the boy had been torn to pieces. I did not recognize my son, who I raised with more sacrifices. He did this macabre thing in the dark. That man will be punished, he should rot there because he took my son's soul. That criminal should rot in prison. Don't take the lives of other children. Those two children were innocent, they had not yet started school. That man should rot in prison. That kind of criminal does not deserve to be free, but should stay in prison forever. My grandmother had seen the whole incident, she was terrified. We have been giving therapy to our son for 7 years. We went to church so that he would get better ," said the minor's mother.

The minor's aunt said that the family is experiencing great pain. Regarding the health condition of the injured boy, she said that he will undergo further surgery as he has a fractured pelvis and broken bones.

"Raising a child and having it slip out of your hands for two seconds is beyond words. I am sad for my family. My brother informed me. I cannot explain the pain my brother and sister experienced. The other boy will have to undergo surgery again, he has a fractured pelvis and broken bones. Institutions should do the right thing, not keep them for two years and release them, if they are parents, they should understand our pain, they are not birds to be replaced ," she said. /CNA
