Complaints about violence between two citizens in Golem/ Police react, what do

Durrës Police have reacted to reports made through videos on social networks where several people appear to be exerting violence against two citizens in Golem.

According to the police, the first video published where two people hit a citizen represents an event that occurred last year, for which, on 22.12.2025, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated at large, for the citizens appearing in the video, D. Sh. and BM, as it is suspected that on 22.12.2025, at around 12:30, in Golem, Kavajë, they punched and kicked citizen RA, claiming that the latter had insulted them during a conflict over property.

Further, the Durrës Police in its reaction says that the second part of the published video is related to the escorting of the mother of citizen RA, citizen Sh. A., 69 years old, after on 04.05.2026, the Kavaja Police were notified that the elderly woman had sprayed fuel with, and then set fire to, a container of a construction site, owned by citizen AL. At the time of the escort, this citizen violently opposed the Police officers, hitting and biting them.

According to the police, in order to avoid a conflict of interest, the procedural actions for this case were carried out by the Judicial Police officer of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, where proceedings have begun in a free state, for citizen Sh. A., for the criminal offenses of "Destruction of property by fire" and "Opposition of a public order police officer".

Durrës Police also declare that procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for 2 other related cases, specifically on March 24 and April 15.

"Regarding a video published on the Facebook account of citizen A. Ll., a lawyer by profession, we clarify that the necessary verification actions were immediately carried out on the footage and other events related to the case depicted in them.

-on 24.03.2026, citizen Sh. A. reported to the Kavajë Police Station that her property had been unfairly taken, avoiding her as an heir;

-on 15.04.2026, citizen EM reported that citizen Sh. A. had destroyed the fence of the construction site he manages.
