Accused of killing his father/ Arrested after two years Klementin Islamaj

Klementin Islamaj, 43, has been arrested for the murder of his father, after two years on the run. The 43-year-old is accused of throwing his father down the stairs, causing his death, and has been sentenced by the Court of Saranda to 3 years and 4 months in prison for the criminal offense of "Murder committed in a state of severe psychological shock."

The serious incident occurred in August 2024 in the village of Shala, Konispol. 69-year-old Hysen Islamaj had a verbal conflict and shot his wife Shano Islamaj, 66, several times with an axe, who died from the injuries she sustained.

After the serious incident, the son Klementin Islamaj went to the apartment and on the stairs he clashed with his 69-year-old father, where he pushed him down the stairs, killing him instantly. He had stated after the incident that he did not want to kill his father. /CNA
