Convicted of murder in the United Kingdom/ 34-year-old arrested in Domje, extradition awaited

The successive operations of the Special Operations Force Directorate continue to capture internationally wanted persons.

Recently, the police operation codenamed "Operation 81" has been successfully finalized.

As part of this operation, in Tirana, it was possible to locate, identify and detain citizen A. Sh., 34 years old, resident of Domje.

He was declared an international wanted person by Interpol Manchester.

According to the official announcement, the North Kent Court in the United Kingdom, by decision dated January 15, 2026, had assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Murder", according to British criminal legislation.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with British authorities, is pursuing procedures for his extradition to the United Kingdom. / CNA
