Former President of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, has reacted to reports of her involvement in the "Epstein" dossier.

Jahjaga has described all reports as unfounded and untrue, while emphasizing that as president of Kosovo she has had no meeting or contact with Jeffrey Epstein.

She adds, among other things, that the mention of her name is only related to an electronic correspondence of third parties.

Public clarification

Media reports about my "connection" to the "Epstein" dossier are completely unfounded and untrue. As President of the Republic of Kosovo, I have never had any acquaintance, meeting or any kind of contact with the person in question.

The mention of my name by the media in the recently published documents is only related to an electronic correspondence of third parties, which does not constitute and does not prove any meeting, acquaintance or personal connection with me. My name is not mentioned anywhere in any published document.

This third-party email mentions the President of Kosovo, but it is not clear who, and there is no mention of a meeting request on his or her behalf.

Any reporting to the contrary is insinuation and deception of the public, as can be easily seen from the documents.

I request that this clarification be provided to the media that have distorted my name, especially since I have neither known, nor met, nor requested a meeting with the person in question in any position I have held so far. / CNA
