US President Donald Trump has declared that Iran is collapsing economically and wants to immediately open the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump spoke out about this situation through a new post on the 'TruthSocial' platform.
"Iran is collapsing economically! They want the Strait of Hormuz opened immediately. They are hungry for money! They are losing $500 million a day. Military and police officers are complaining that they are not being paid. SOS!!!", Trump wrote.
The stance comes after Trump announced Tuesday evening that he is extending the ceasefire with Iran until further notice.
Meanwhile, Tehran reacted by calling it a way to "buy time" before launching a new attack against Iran. /CNA
