Gaza deal signing/ President Trump travels to Egypt on Monday

US President Donald Trump is expected to travel to the Middle East to attend the signing ceremony of the Gaza peace deal in Egypt, which potentially marks the end of the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.

During the trip, Trump is initially scheduled to visit Israel, where a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a speech to the Knesset, Israel's parliament, is scheduled.

According to Israeli media reports, Trump is likely to meet with the families of the hostages, while Egyptian media reports that preparations are being made to welcome Trump on Monday.

The US president's planned trip to the Middle East follows his announcement early Thursday that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of a ceasefire deal in Gaza.
