Kosovo votes!/ Citizens will elect the mayors of 38 municipalities

Today, eligible citizens of Kosovo will head to the ballot boxes again.

2 million 69 thousand 98 voters are voting to elect mayors in 38 municipalities in the country and members of 38 municipal assemblies.

The number of political entities certified to participate in these elections is 93, of which, 32 political parties, 2 coalitions, 32 civic initiatives and 27 independent candidates.

The total number of certified candidates representing these political entities is: 5,624 candidates, of which 205 candidates for the mayoral elections and 5,419 candidates for the Municipal Assembly elections.

Of the total number, 205 candidates have been certified for the mayoral elections alone, of which 185 are men and 20 are women. Meanwhile, 5,419 candidates have been certified for the Municipal Assembly elections, of which 3,395 are men and 2,024 are women.

The voting process will take place in 948 Voting Centers, with a total of 2,625 polling stations, of which 910 centers with 2,571 polling stations for regular voting and 38 centers, one for each municipality, with 54 polling stations, to enable conditional voting.

According to the Voters' List, the number of citizens eligible to vote today in the Republic of Kosovo is 2 million 69 thousand 98 voters, distributed in 38 municipalities. / CNA
