Rashic elected Deputy Speaker of the Parliament/ Kurti appoints new Acting

Kosovo's acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has appointed Nenad Vukmirovic to serve as Minister of Communities and Returns. Vukmirovic, who previously held the position of Deputy Minister, takes over after Nenad Rashic was elected Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly yesterday, from the Serb minority.

Born in North Mitrovica in April 1979, Nenad Vukmirovi? is a graduate engineer in electrical engineering and informatics. He completed primary and secondary school in North Mitrovica. Previously, he was the Director of Education in the Municipality of North Mitrovica.

With the appointment of Rashic as Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, the Speaker of the Parliament Dimal Basha declared the Assembly of Kosovo constituted. Rashic received 71 votes in favor, 9 against and 24 abstentions during the vote. In addition to the votes from the Vetevendosje Movement and some of the non-Serb non-majority community deputies, he also secured the votes of the Democratic League of Kosovo deputies.
