"Broad consensus with the opposition"/ Alimehmeti: DP, very soon with a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana

Democratic Party member Ilir Alimehmeti spoke today regarding the race for the Tirana Municipal Elections.

In a television appearance, Alimehmeti said that the DP will come up with a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana very soon.

Alimehmeti stated that the name that will be in front of the socialist candidate will come as a process of broad consensus with the opposition front.

 "The process is definitely underway. There is a queue. Democracy predicts numbers. There are parliamentary parties and allied ones. And then we have to look at those who have an opposition stance against Edi Rama. In this regard, negotiations have been opened, discussions have been opened. You remembered that the group was founded, it was created two days ago, so in this regard we have moved quite quickly in this regard. We have some close contacts with party leaders. The candidate will emerge very soon and there should be a broad consensus beyond the Democratic Party", - said Alimehmeti./ CNA
