Why is Veliaj's media following Ilir Meta's trial with a telescope?!

On April 8, a court hearing was held at the Special Court for the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. The hearing where it was decided that the first trial session will be held on April 27.

What is noticeable is that in the media of the mayor of Tirana or the editorials of the journalist of the Veliaj family, Mero Baze, the "Meta" issue is always attached to that of Erion Veliaj.

This has two purposes. The first is to complicate the opposition. The second is to combine into one, as a matter of violations or injustices, two investigations, two individuals, two completely different cases that have no resemblance to each other.

Comparing criminal cases

First, Ilir Meta is not an official in office who can destroy evidence or damage the investigative case. Although SPAK also found interference against him. While Erion Veliaj was found with facts that he destroyed evidence. We recall the case of how Ina Goxhaj's phone disappeared in the office of the Ombudsman, Erida Ballanca.

Goxhaj's phone was stolen by the chairwoman of the Laws Commission, Klotilda Bushka. What would happen to the investigations if Ina Goxhaj's phone was also seized?

Ilir Meta was not in office, Erion Veliaj was in office and he was going around destroying evidence. This is the first change.

Let's go further. Erion Veliaj has 13 serious criminal charges.

8. “Korrupsioni pasiv i funksionarëve të lartë shtetërorë ose i të zgjedhurve vendorë”, kryer në bashkëpunim, në lidhje me përfitimin e parregullt të marrë nga “B...” OJF, parashikuar nga neni 260 e 25 i Kodit Penal;

9. “Korrupsioni pasiv i funksionarëve të lartë shtetërorë ose i të zgjedhurve vendorë”, kryer në bashkëpunim, në lidhje me përfitimin e parregullt të marrë nga “Frobolous” OJF, parashikuar nga neni 260 e 25 i Kodit Penal;
10. “Pastrimi i produkteve të veprës penale ose veprimtarisë kriminale”, kryer në bashkëpunim më shumë se një herë, parashikuar nga neni 287/2 i Kodit Penal;
11. “Futja ose mbajtja e sendeve të ndaluara në institucionin e ekzekutimit të vendimeve me burgim”, më shumë se një herë, parashikuar nga neni 324/a/2 i Kodit Penal;
12. “Refuzimi për deklarimin, mosdeklarimi, fshehja ose deklarimi i rremë i pasurive, interesave private të personave të zgjedhur dhe nëpunësve publikë ose i çdo personi tjetër që ka detyrimin ligjor për deklarim”, parashikuar nga neni 257/a/2 i Kodit Penal;
13. “Shpërdorimi i detyrës”, parashikuar nga neni 248 i Kodit Penal.

Ndërsa kreu i Partisë së Lirisë, Ilir Meta akuzohet për korrupsion, pastrim parash dhe fshehje pasurie.

E treta, por jo më pak e rëndësishmja. Përtej prishjes së provave dhe akuzave penale që rëndojnë. Kreu i Partisë së Lirisë, Ilir Meta është përballur me prokurorët publikisht si kryetar partie, ka mbajtur qëndrime personale. Ndërsa Erion Veliaj mjafton të shohim përgjimet nga burgu i Durrësit, se si krijonte skenarë, mashtrime, intriga deri në Departamentin e Shtetit, lobime në Senat me qindra mijëra dollarë të paguar.

Both cases differ due to the accusations and circumstances, but the biggest difference is the fact that Erion Veliaj claims to be a victim of Berisha's scripted politics, while Meta claims to be a victim of Rama's politics. In fact, Erion Veliaj is a victim of abuse, corruption, scandal, selfishness, and his seat of power, in the power of his party.

While Ilir Meta is the man who brought Rana to power, a champion of justice reform just like Veliaj, but when justice goes to them and is not controlled by them, then it is politics.

In fact, the "Veliaj" case is following the "Meta" case. The latter is very easy with accusations, but also with the fact that Meta is not in office. While Veliaj has more accusations, he continues to remain in office and continues to behave with the same arrogance and brutality as when he was in the mayor's office./CNA
