Since 2006 and until today, Kastriot Guri from Mëlova e Berat, has been asking the courts for the properties inherited from generation to generation, which he says he seized from Ilir Meta to use for quarries. Guri says that Ilir Meta has occupied and seeks to steal, in cooperation with corrupt judges and prosecutors, 740 hectares of property, forests and pastures, in the village of Mëlovo in Berat, with the aim of using them for the marble business.

Guri warned that he is collecting properties related to the suspected corruption of Ilir Meta, Muharrem Berisha, Nexhip Xhaja, prosecutors and judges, to refer a file to SPAK.

In 2010, former minister Dritan Prifti accused Ilir Meta of hiding behind the quarries in Berat areas, bringing out his trusted people on stage. The priest, once one of Ilir Meta's most trusted people, accused the latter of hiding palaces, chains of stores and millions of euros.
