The new head of the Tirana Bar Association is elected/Here's who will take

Klodian Skënderaj has been elected head of the Tirana Bar Association, after securing 569 votes in the election process for the leadership of the institution.

The race for the position of mayor was held between eight candidates, including Lulzim Alushaj, Sajmir Visha, Edmond Petraj, Gentjana Qendro, Malvina Lika, Mirela Biba and Sonila Velo.

Skënderaj takes over the leadership of the Chamber for the next four years. 

Who is Klodian Skenderaj?

Skënderaj completed his university studies at the Faculty of Law of the University of Genoa in Italy in 2005. Then, in 2013, he completed his doctoral studies in the field of criminal procedural law, while since 2016 he has held the title of "Associate Professor".

He is the author of the book "Execution of Criminal Decisions", which is used as literature for the Master of Science in Criminal Law and the Master of Professional Criminal Law programs at the Faculty of Law of the University of Tirana.

Since 2018, Skënderaj has been contributing as an expert to the School of Magistrates in the Continuing Training Program. In parallel, he has also been engaged in projects of various organizations and associations, with a focus on criminal procedural legislation and substantive criminal law.

Since September 2020, he has been part of the Academic Senate of the University of Tirana. He has also participated in a number of national and international scientific conferences, where he has presented academic papers, and is the author of articles published in scientific journals at home and abroad.
