Passed away at the age of 84/ Tribute in honor of actor, Birçe Hasko

This Sunday, tributes are being held in honor of renowned Albanian actor Birçe Hasko, who passed away at the age of 84.

Family members, stage colleagues, art personalities and his many fans gave their final farewell to actor Birçe Hasko.

After the tributes, the actor's body will be transported to his final resting place.

Who was Birçe Hasko?

Hasko was born in Dukat, Vlorë on March 15, 1942. After graduating from high school, he worked as a teacher in Memaliaj, where he also joined the city's amateur variety show troupe. In 1965, he studied acting at the Higher Institute of Arts.

After graduating, he worked as a lecturer at this institute, where he taught the course 'Actor's Craft' for several decades. For his academic work, he was awarded the title of "Professor".

He has performed over 12 roles in theater. His most accomplished role is that of Milo in the comedy "Rain on the Beach" written by Teodor Laço.

Hasko also left his mark on Albanian cinema, playing dozens of roles. His first role in cinema was in 1971 in the role of a ballista in the film "When a Day Dawned".

He would continue his roles in many films, such as Mete Jaho's in the film "Radiostacioni" in 1979, the role of Syrjai in the film "Skëterrë 43" in 1980, the role of the teacher in the film "Gurët e dhetë sime" in 1985, as well as many roles in other films, leading to his last role in the film "Kronikë Provinciale" in 2009.

In 1976 he was awarded the "Naim Frashëri" order, second class, in 1988 "Merited Artist" and in 2002 he received the title "Grand Master"./ CNA
