"SPAK opened 'Pandora's Box' for several mafia

Journalist Klodiana Lala spoke today about SPAK's operations to crack down on several large criminal groups. Lala said in a television appearance that one of the most dangerous groups targeted is the "Pepa" criminal group and the seizure of their assets.

According to her, the organized money laundering ring has also had an impact on public tenders. Among other things, the journalist mentioned the crackdown on Ines Hajrulla's group in Vlora, where according to her, SPAK opened a "Pandora's Box" for mafia murders that have occurred in this city.

"The Pepa criminal group is probably among the strikes of one of the most dangerous criminal groups and the seizure of assets of this criminal group in significant values, in tens of millions of euros, I think it is a very important issue because it was a company and I have dealt with it on the show "Në Shënjestër", which had won dozens of public tenders. What does this mean? So, organized crime that launders money and extends its tentacles in public tenders, and on the other hand it was a criminal group that planned to take hostage the directors of a second-tier bank. Imagine what a sophisticated group where the four brothers, one of whom unfortunately is no longer alive, but the other three were involved in organized crime, in cocaine trafficking, in money laundering and in extending its tentacles in tenders, from reconstruction to tenders in various municipalities of the country.

So in this sense it was an important and essential issue in my opinion. You also had the crackdown on Ines Hajrulla's group in Vlora. Of course there must be many other groups in that city, but for the first time SPAK went there and that normally opened Pandora's Box for mafia murders that have occurred in that city and then there may be other arrests , "said Lala.

Among other things, the journalist also spoke about the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj, stating that there are certain segments of politics and the state that are not interested in revealing his fate. According to her, Martinaj's file should have been transferred to SPAK and not kept at the Lezha Prosecutor's Office. She added that his family members know the truth of the incident.

"There are certain segments of politics and the state that are not interested in revealing the fate of Ervis Martinaj. I do not understand how a prosecutor in Lezha continues and still keeps the file of Ervis Martinaj and how the messages he sent are not investigated or how the testimony of Brilant Martinaj's father is not taken. That file should have been passed to SPAK and the Special Prosecution should have investigated it. I think this event can only be revealed when these criminal groups and gangs clash strongly among themselves and start talking. The family knows the truth, they also know who executed Ervis Martinaj ," she said. /CNA
