Ndreca's three demands, after failing in court

Erion Veliaj's defendant lawyer, Plarent Ndreca, continues with his show. After leaving the court, he makes a statement. The next day, after the cases and court decisions are not released, he takes a public stance.

Today Ndreca made a statement to the media where at the end he uses a threatening sentence: any attempt to remove the "hot potato" or to wash his hands like "Ponce Pilate" will fail and responsibility, sometime, somewhere, towards someone, will seek its address. The three points that Ndreca is asking for are simply excuses and public show.

Ndreca says in his statement to “open the evidence.” In fact, the evidence is open.

Erion Veliaj's lawyers on July 24, 2025, took every file on a USB, they took the digital evidence. From July 24 until a few weeks ago, Erion Veliaj requested printed copies, just like Mr. Ndreca, by court decision.

They took Veliaj to prison and the defendants to the Plarent Ndreca Criminal Court. Now he says he wants digital again. Let's get him.

When they give him digital, he says he wants physical prints, when they give him physical prints, he says he wants digital.

He wants both ice cream and chocolate. When they give him chocolate, he wants ice cream.

Anyway, let's go to the second fact mentioned by Plarent Ndreca, to whom he says open the cage.

Which cage? There is no cage in the GJKKO. There is a glass partition that is an investment made according to EU standards. Such is the court, such are the sessions, such are the people. They may not pose a high risk to the public, but they may be at risk because they are high-ranking officials, Erion Veliaj is in office, Ilir Meta is a former president, etc.

We saw Ilir Meta yesterday, beyond that glass, and we realized how pale he was and how much his image had changed, including the way he communicated with his lawyer, the space, and everything else that is necessary for a normal hearing to take place.

Now the GJKKO said that Ilir Beqaj can sit next to his lawyer outside the glass box, but this is done by court decision, not at the will of the defendants Ndreca or Veliaj.

The third is "open the cameras".

Which cameras? For what reason? To intimidate witnesses, collaborators of justice?

The trials against Erion Veliaj, Ilir Meta or anyone else are open.

Every citizen has the right to go, the media is present there but it is not allowed to be broadcast live on television. That's all. Here is the difference. Now they want cameras to put on a show.

The show is on Top Channel and TV Klan, it is not on Report TV and on Tema e Mero Bazes. The show is "Big Brother" with live cameras, it is Ferma VIP, not GJKKO. And these are the standards of every European court.

The public stance towards the court, towards its decisions, or the arguments it gives regarding repeated issues such as "we want the evidence in digital form" that they have received once, "we want it printed" that they have received again and in that kind of form, now demands it again in digital form, games, or "removing the dividing glass" that they call a cage, which is a security element according to European standards and further to "open the cameras" where in no country in Europe, in such trials are there cameras that broadcast live.

Not in Europe, but not in the US either. We remember here the trials of President Trump, we remember the trials of many politicians at the highest levels of the US courts. There is only one person who makes some drawings that are distributed and the public that follows them, including the media, family members, etc.

That's why Plarent Ndreca is very concerned. He announces three requests, not out of concern for justice, but for his media show.

Until yesterday, they were attacking the prosecutors, the prosecution was to blame. Now they have started to blame the court. So, anyone who takes a stand against the lawyers' demands is guilty, they are doing injustice, and so far they have not faced the large bag of evidence and facts at any moment, but only make propaganda and postpone court hearings./CNA
