Review of the appeal and preliminary hearing/ "Meta" file in the Supreme Court and the GJKKO

Today, at 9:00, a preliminary hearing will be held at the GJKKO in charge of the Leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, his ex-wife Monika Kryemadhi, Fatime Kryemadhi, Pirro Xhixho and Erma Çoku.

The leader of the PL has been in prison since October 21, 2024, where he and his ex-wife Monika Kryemadhi are accused of passive corruption, money laundering and failure to declare assets.

Pirro Xhixho is accused of passive corruption of high-ranking officials committed in collaboration. While Fatime Kryemadhi is accused of money laundering, together with Ema Çoku.

The previous session was postponed due to the absence of former President Meta's defense lawyer, Kujtim Cakran.

Also today, the Supreme Court will review the appeal of the leader of the PL, who requests a more lenient security measure./ CNA
