Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, has announced that 61 municipalities in the country will now have free WiFi. 

In Demo's post on social media, it is stated that from the initiative of the EU4Digital project co-funded by the EU and the German Government, citizens and visitors will have access to the internet in every central public space.

The Minister says that this is an important step towards digital development and uniting communities through connectivity.

Free WiFi in every municipality in Albania

Thanks to the #WiFi4WB initiative, part of the EU4Digital project, co-funded by the European Union and the German Government, citizens and visitors will have access to free and reliable internet in central public spaces.

All 61 municipalities in the country will benefit from this initiative, which is implemented by GIZ and technically realized by Vodafone Albania.
