Journalist Mentor Kikia spoke today about the serious event that shocked public opinion two days ago, the murder of judge Astrit Kalaja. Kikia said in a television appearance that the event was shocking not only because a judge was killed, but also because someone who gives decisions based on the law was killed.

"The event was shocking, not just the fact that a judge was killed, because he has a different title, he decides from the right side. The dynamics of the event were an assassination carried out in the courtroom at the moment the judge was reading a decision," said Kikia.

He also spoke about the problems of the justice system, which he said are glaring and must be taken seriously. According to him, property issues are what have produced the most violence and victims between tribes, and these are a consequence of the irresponsibility of local government.

"The problems are glaring, you know that in time, these problems must be considered seriously. The property issue has produced more violence and victims between tribes, these are the consequences of corruption and the irresponsibility of local government. The criminal world has put its hands in to alienate and extort property, as was the case with the criminal organization in Durrës," said Kikia./CNA
