The European Air Sports Championship, the 8th edition, which is being held in Gjirokastër, has started.

The Director of Aeronautics, Alket Islami, has given details of the competition that took place earlier, saying that it was very strong.

In this 8th edition of the European Air Sports Championship, 100 pilots and 22 countries of the world participated.

Islam has informed that the competition is very strong, while he revealed that on October 12, the winner of this championship will be announced.

"The eighth edition of the European precision flight championship is being held in Gjirokastër. We started today with the first day.

It is one of the biggest sports events in Albania, the biggest for 2024. There are over 100 pilots from all over Europe plus guests from other continents who are competing in Gjirokastër for the eighth edition which is very important for the discipline and precision. 22 countries have registered a very strong competition where it is also the highest ranking of pilots in the world because Europeans are the ones who dominate the overall ranking of pilots in the world who are in this strong competition and all compete for a positive result. We will be here until October 11th, where the final round will be and on October 12th we will announce the winner of the 8th European Championship", stated Alket Islami.

The foreign pilots who are competing in this championship have expressed their emotions by giving their maximum assessment for this entire event that is taking place in Albania./ CNA
