The head of the Environment Department at the Democratic Party, Jamarbër Malltezi, has leveled accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama regarding the incinerator affair.

Through a post on social media, Malltezi writes that 430 million euros were stolen for imaginary incinerators, adding that the prime minister had written information from Ermonela Felaj that the relevant company did not exist.

Malltezi states that the construction permit for this project was granted in 2019, but to date "not a single brick" has been built.

Malltezi also accuses the government of renewing the construction permit for the company linked to the incinerators.

"Edi Rama has stolen 430 million euros for imaginary incinerators even though he had written confirmation from Ermonela Felaj that the company did not exist. He has issued a building permit since 2019 and not a single brick has been laid.

"Now renew the construction permit for the company of those who stole and divided the money and are wanted in the unknown direction between Vienna," writes Malltezi./ CNA
