Editorial/ Who are Erion Veliaj's anonymous lawyers?

In the media, every time there is a court session at the GJKKO, every time there are actions by SPAK or a session at the Constitutional Court, positions of Erion Veliaj's unnamed lawyers appear.

Of all the statements that have appeared in the media, only once or twice, out of dozens of them, has there been a specific name, which were some Anglo-American lobbying studios. All other statements are without the name of the lawyer, it is said: 'legal representatives' or 'from Veliaj's lawyers'.

The question arises: Who are Erion Veliaj's lawyers?

Because at first it was Ermir Beta and Artur Selmani. Then they fell. On the way, Artan Gjermeni and another one came out. They fell too. The question simply arises: who are the people who make public writings about Veliaj and why don't they come out with their names?

Or are these written by Erion Veliaj himself? Because citizens should understand the difference without question. If they are written by lawyers, a person in the field can say 'what kind of fools are these, how do they accept it'. If they are written by Veliaj himself, it is definitely an individual position of a defendant and there is nothing wrong with it.

But playing with public positions without names is banal and moreover shows irresponsibility. Because the individual who writes them establishes the authorship. We are not dealing with articles or reports on portals, but we are dealing with official legal positions from representatives of a defendant, or from the latter himself.

Because a thousand and one nonsense is written in the name of freedom, duty, etc., when in fact Erion Veliaj is in prison because he has destroyed evidence, there are 9 charges for corruption, laundering the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity, bringing or keeping prohibited items in prison, refusal to declare/fail to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets.

Erion Veliaj's abuse of office is the most pointless accusation that SPAK has raised against him and is in fact the result of a lawsuit filed by relatives and the law firm that defends him. That is, by the law firm of Arben Rakipi's wife.

At least someone should come out and say: "I'm doing this public defense of Erion Veliaj." Veliaj's lawyers, who are often nameless. Or in cases like what happened before, when CNA contacted Veliaj's lawyers and they said, "No, we didn't take this position."

Who are Mr. Veliaj's lawyers? Because all the successive positions are different from each other. Or they have nonsense and lies inside. Lawyers can lie that they will defend their client, but not to the point of madness that even an illiterate person would understand that they are lying publicly.

As they say, he is being held in a cell without charges. While the charges were filed against him in July, it is now December, he has been indicted for 5 months and he does not go to court. He simply postpones court hearings.

Or other lies that have little importance now. With the excuses they are making: no, there are phases, no, they have to carry out their duties, no, this, that.

Nonsense, nonsense and only nonsense, which in fact have no author, no name in most cases. At least have the courage to put a name. Because if they can't find a lawyer who will take responsibility for public statements in defense of Erion Veliaj, the latter is in trouble.

Since no one is coming forward to defend him with all the mountain of accusations he has. And it would be good if he asked for a summary trial, went to court, admitted his guilt and saved others.

From his wife, who is trying to save him with her pregnancy, to the businessmen. At least let them go with a summary judgment.

And to bravely go to the end of the accusations. And if he won, he would be the future leader in Albanian politics. But apparently, he cannot become a leader! But he wants to stay in his own lane, who he is, as he calls himself 'zdroms' and nothing more than that. /CNA
