"50 lek per liter of fuel for public transport"/ Government approves

Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, spoke to the media regarding the decisions approved at today's government meeting. Karakaçi stated that one of the approved acts was the subsidy measure for urban, intercity and suburban transport.

This compensation, according to the minister, will be at the rate of 50 lek/liter for all public transport companies. Among other things, he added that this subsidy measure will begin in March.

"We passed several acts of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, but what I will focus on today is more important. We have approved the subsidy measure for urban, intercity and suburban transport. About a month ago, we sat down with transport companies and representatives of municipalities and the Ministry of Economy and listened to their problems. In these meetings, we promised that we would have a subsidy measure and today we approved it. It is a compensation of 50 lek/liter for all public transport companies. Another good news is that we will start this subsidy measure in March when we had the beginning of the effects of the crisis," said Karakaçi. /CNA
