CNA.al has selected to offer readers hottest topics of 2020, ie all the exclusive materials, investigations and denunciations handled by our staff. The year 2020, can be called the year of the theme of incinerators, an investigation that lasted several months when with documents and facts we showed the connection of concession companies with Mirel Mërtiri, Klodian Zoto and Stela Gugallja, and the connection of these three and the threads that lead to government and media.

For the first time, CNA.al publicly named the companies registered in the Netherlands, their addresses, the way they changed their names. CNA.al denounced all their scandals, so we faced constant pressure, which went as far as the lawsuit in court, which Mirel Mërtiri has lost all, and will also lose all those who seek to struggle with the truth.

A very strong and ardent topic, has been the revelation of some scandals of the former politician, the current director of Top Channel, Ben Blushi. With exclusive documents, we proved how his assets worth hundreds of thousands of euros were registered with ridiculous values, or how palaces were built on behalf of Ben Blushi?s family in partnership with businessmen, once Blushi?s friends, already in open conflict.

CNA.al proved how Ben Blushi had bought for his daughter a property worth 500 million Lek for only 30 thousand euros, and how a building worth 5 million dollars was being built in the center of Tirana, with his father-in-law as co-owner. Then we showed his debts, or the secret consumption of fuel worth tens of millions of Lek, which Blushi had declared as a politician.

Ben Blushi is the example of how a man who manages the media tries to blackmail, attack in all forms to silence them. When we started publishing his scandals, and suspicions that he had abused, and that SPAK should investigate him as a politician, he started attacking political figures or people who had connections or personal acquaintances yesterday or today with the director and staff of CNA.al.

When he failed, he chose the same scheme of others, filed a lawsuit in court against us, but even there he will lose. Another hot topic addressed on CNA.al was the denunciation of the car scandal of the then Minister of Interior, Sander Lleshaj, who resigned on December 13. The justification was the alleged accidental murder of young Klodian Rasha.

In fact, his ?war? with the prime minister had begun with the denunciation of a scandal. A luxury BMW vehicle worth about 100 million Lek was purchased by the Ministry of Interior, through an extrajudicial procedure. This because the State Police itself, through the Deputy Director, Aida Hajnaj and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had opposed the purchase of this vehicle.

The vehicle was purchased in Germany, and the CNA showed with exclusive documents how was purchased on behalf of the Contact Officer in Berlin. Then with photos and documents, we showed how he was brought to Tirana and then fake license plates were placed on him, and the vehicle was circulating without insurance.

However, after the publication of the scandal, Sander Lleshaj defended himself and surprisingly denied this scandal. The next day he pleaded guilty, after changing the license plates of the car. Sander Lleshaj publicly attacked us with insults, accusations and shameful attacks from the rostrum of the parliament.

He then went to court, but where he did not deserve to appear in court. The fourth topic, but no less important is Ylli Ndroqi. For several years, we had reported that a media owner had been a drug trafficker accused in Turkey and Italy.

For this we suffered attacks, accusations and even court cases, where they tried to convict us for defamation and insult only because we had said that Ylli Ndroqi’s real name was Xhemail Pasmaçiu, and that behind a television owner was hiding an accused drug trafficker.

CNA.al was able to show after almost 3-4 years of investigation with exclusive documents, the details of the change of the name of Ylli Ndroqi, ie the person who in 1997-1998 was arrested for drugs in Turkey named Xhemail Pasmaçiu, but at that time he had changed the generalities.

Then it was SPAK that seized his assets, and everything we had written was legally proven. But as in the above cases, Ndroqi chose to use his tools to attack us to keep quiet. But this didn?t happen, and will never happen at CNA.al.

Those who believe and think that swearing, attacking, accusing, slandering, insulting, blackmailing will force us to be silent, have found the wrong way. This is not going to happen, the truth will come out as it turned out for Ylli Ndroqi, who today is facing the law, as it happened with the incinerators that are under investigation by SPAK, as it happened with Sander Lleshaj who left with shame from his duty, as will be the case with Ben Blushi, who’s no friend in the SP or captured justice will save him from the investigation and the revelation of the truth about the benefits he had as a political official.

On the other hand CNA has made public hundreds of assets of politicians and judges. During 2020 we have published approximately 150 articles on the assets of prosecutors, judges and politicians. Meanwhile, CNA.al has denounced during this year several hundred cases of abusive tenders, where have been announced predetermined winners, or where the winners have been with maximum values. These scandals have occurred in all state institutions, mainly in the Road Authority, in the Albanian Development Fund, but also in other public institutions such as the ministry and the Municipality of Tirana.

Another very important topic addressed in CNA.al has been politics in general, its scenarios, problems within the opposition, problems within the government, warnings about changes of government, conflicts of the prime minister, bargains with Ilir Meta and Lulzim Basha.
