The Special Board of Appeal upheld the dismissal of the judge of the Court of Shkodra, Albano Çepele.

The decision was taken by the KPA body headed by judge Ina Rama, with relator Rezarta Schuetz and members Albana Shtylla, Mimoza Tasi and Sokol Çomo.

The judge was dismissed from office on November 20, 2020, after the KPK found problems in the criterion of wealth and professionalism.

KPK identified a lack of legal documentation to justify the source of the 30 thousand euros loaned by the subject's sister for the purchase of the apartment.

It also found that Çepele had made contradictory statements regarding the low price of the apartment.

Although this decision was appealed, the KPA decided today to uphold the dismissal./ CNA.al
