Sebastian Vettel nuk do të jetë më një pilot në garat e Formula 1. Gjermani 4 herë kampion bote në përfundimin e garës së sotme në Abu Dhabi ku u pozicionua në vendin e 10-të, ka deklaruar tërheqjen nga garat me njëvendëshen e tij.
Një karrierë me ulje ngritje, ku pas 4 titujve kampion radhazi me skuderinë e Red Bull, vijoi aventurën me Ferrarin. Në sezonet e tij të njëvëndëshja italiane, i shkoi shumë pranë titullit të 5-të por nuk ia doli ndaj Hamilton. Vettel e mbyll karrirën pas 2 sezonesh me skuderinë Aston Martin, ku nuk arriti të rivalizojë në asnjë sezon për titull kampion.
Në fjalën e tij për mediat Vettel u shpreh mes emocioneve: “Faleminderit për mbështetjen, mesazhet, letrat dhe gjithë dashurinë e dhuruar në këto vite. Do të më mungojë shumë, por ka qenë një gëzim absolut për mua gjatë gjithë karrierës sime.”
